Frequently
Asked
Questions
Q: I need a
website, what
is the first
thing I should
do?
Gather all the
content you
want to have
on the website
before you
meet with your
designer so
she has a good
idea of what
you need. Have
any content
you want
included typed
up in
electronic
format and
have it
proofed as
well. Collect
any website
links you want
to show the
designer so
you can better
display what
you want and
need. The more
work you do
before the
first meeting,
and the more
you can share
with the
designer - the
quicker your
website can be
created and
the happier
you will be
with the
finish
product.
Q: How long
will it take
to get my site
up and
running?
If you are
organized and
have all your
information
gathered with
all content in
electronic
format, once
we finalize a
template it
could be
complete in a
couple of days
- depending on
my design
schedule.
Q: Can you get
me a domain
name, hosting
and design my
website?
Absolutely. No
problem.
Q: The domain
name I wanted
is already
taken - now
what?
Contact us and
we can throw
around some
ides for
alternative
domain names
and get one
registered for
you. Instead
of .com you
might be able
to get .ca -
maybe you can
shorten your
full business
name to
something
really catchy
so people can
remember it
more easily.
Q: Design
firms I have
contact have
really high
fees - why are
you less
expensive?
As a
home-based
business my
overhead is
less and I
pass those
savings on to
you.
